Ex-army chief Raheel Sharif, FM Qureshi discuss regional peace

ISLAMABAD( Media 92 News) Commander-In-Chief of Islamic Alliance against Terrorism (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) General (retired) Raheel Sharif and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi discussed regional peace and matters of mutual interest on Tuesday.

Gen (retd) Raheel, who is leading a delegation of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition on its maiden visit to Pakistan, called on the foreign minister.

Regional peace and stability and matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. The foreign minister praised efforts undertaken by the Islamic military coalition for peace and stability in the region.
A day earlier, Gen (retd) Raheel called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters. According to the army’s media cell, in the meeting matters related to regional stability and peace were discussed. The army chief also lauded the efforts by the Islamic military coalition for enduring peace.

Former army chief General (retd) Raheel was made the chief of 39-nation Islamic military coalition formed to combat terrorism in 2017.
