The Legend of Maula Jatt’s trailer is out and will leave you mindblown

The first trailer of The Legend of Maula Jatt released on Friday night and mind you, we love it!

Directed by Bilal Lashari (Waar), the film stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick and Hamza Ali Abbasi. Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Shafqat Cheema, Nayyer Ejaz and Saima Baloch make up the rest of the cast.

But before the movie hits the theatres, fans already have a taste of what they can expect from the movie. The action-packed trailer shows a beefed up Khan as Maula Jutt with Mahira and flashes of Abbasi as Noori Nath.

With gladiators like arenas replacing the wrestling pits of Punjab, the Lashari directorial is a stylised update to the 1979 action film Maula Jatt, which traces the journey of a local hero who takes on a brutal gang leader.

The film is also the most expensive Pakistani movie.

The Legend of Maula Jatt will hit theatres next Eid and is going to be the first Pakistani film to release on the same day in China and Pakistan.
